Dr. Hany Simon Junior works as a physician in the emergency room of the Instituto da Criança at USP Sao Paulo. He is a leader in Brazilian and Latin American pediatric emergency medicine.
He has chaired both the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP) and the São Paulo Society of Pediatrics (SPSP), and remains a member of both. He has also served as a director of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Emergencies (SLEPE).
Importantly, Hany is the main organizer of the pediatric emergency congress series. The 2026 edition, held in São Paulo, was the 1st World Congress on pediatric emergencies. For that, Hany deserves a medal…
