Nathan Kuppermann is a true icon of PEM. He serves as executive vice president and chief academic officer of Children’s National and is director of the Children’s National Research Institute.
Additionally, he is fellow of the renowned academy for the advancement in science and holds the esteemed Bo Tomas Brofeldt Endowed Chair in emergency medicine.
Dr. Kuppermann has made many notable contributions as the founding chair of the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), and subsequently as the chair of the global Pediatric Emergency Research Network (PERN).
